Jenny Venus
​Region Five - Langhorne Creek

Jenny's working life began in horticulture with SARDI as an Apricot Breeder. She spent 10 years with SARDI before moving
into Viticulture in the late 90's. Jenny has specialised in pest and disease management of wine-grapes over the last 20 years. During these years, she has worked in most of the major grape growing regions consulting to both small family vineyards through to large corporate organisations. Jenny now works for a family business in Langhorne Creek and runs a consultancy business.

Over the last 5 years Jenny has done a significant amount of research into Scale insects and their impact on vine health.
Jenny is a member of the Langhorne Creek Grape Grower Committee, the Adelaide Hills Grape Grower Committee and the Australia Grape & Wine Vigerons Committee.

​Jenny was awarded the Viticulturist of the Year Award for Langhorne Creek in 2021.

​Jenny was elected to the Wine Grape Council of SA in October 2021.
