Troy van Dulken
Region Three - Clare Valley and Flinders Ranges

Troy van Dulken joins the council as the representative for the Clare Valley and Southern Flinders.  He has been the viticulturist for Kilikanoon Wines since 2006, managing vineyards in both the Clare Valley and Baroota in the Southern Flinders.

Troy’s experience includes work in the Barossa, Adelaide Hills and Clare Valley, spanning over a period of nearly three decades. He also has a 30ha holding of his own, growing predominantly Riesling and Shiraz.

For the past 12 years, Troy has been involved with the regional grape growers association and, as Clare Region Winegrape Growers Association President from 2014 to 2018, was integral in the amalgamation of the association with Clare Valley Winemakers.  Troy continues his involvement in the Clare Valley Wine & Grape Association, currently serving on the grape growers committee, and water and technical sub-committees.

He is excited by the growth of new varieties in Clare Valley,  particularly the potential of Montepulciano.  But when it comes to the Clare Valley’s well-known trilogy of varieties, Troy says you can’t go past Shiraz!
